WWF’s work goal

Preservation of a unique biological diversity of the Caucasus (including relict, endemic, rare and endangered species), as well as key habitats and landscapes by the creating and supporting a system of specially protected natural areas, promoting sustainable forest management practices and raising environmental awareness of the public

WWF’s work is aimed at:

  • the development of a system of specially protected natural areas;
  • the development of sustainable forest management;
  • the restoration of populations of rare species of animals — the Caucasian leopard and European bison;
  • improving management in the field of environmental protection;
  • monitoring of economic activities
